Colombia DDR

USAID’s Community-Oriented Reintegration of Ex-combatants (CORE) assisted the Government of Colombia with its efforts to reintegrate ex-combatants who have formally renounced armed-conflict as part of Colombia’s Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) initiative. IBTCI’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) services assessed the impact of the national reintegration program on armed conflict in Colombia, outcomes of the CORE program, and future USAID options for further reintegration assistance within the country. To further peace efforts within the country, IBTCI utilized the expertise of internal and domestic and regional partners to inform government partners on “most-likely” scenarios in the near future, conducted risk analyses, and provided potential responses to future conflict to ensure continued CORE project success.
